My Pretty Girl

Sunset and Tastefully Simple

Wednesday is Aaron's day off and therefore our one day to spend as a family. We were going somewhere in town and I stopped to take pics of the sky because it was so pretty.

Then we had dinner at home. All Tastefully Simple food. Yay~

Dinner consisted of:

Beer Bread

Perfectly Potatoe Corn Chowder--new recipe

Prickly Pear Cooler to drink

Classy Chocolate Pound Cake with fresh strawberries

We had two friends over and we were all STUFFED!

I love my Pop-Pop

I have never seen a man love babies so much as Aaron's grandfather here in TN. They have four great-grandchildren in the area now. First his favorite was Cole. Than it was Graycen. Then it was Mitchell and now it's Brilyn. Aghhh! And pretty soon it will be Heather and Taber's baby and than Brandon and Maria's new one. Yes, we are a fertile family! Two of the five babies were planned:) And speaking of fertile families we just found out that my brother and his wife are expecting twins and twins will make six. They are identical so it will either be six boys or maybe two new little girls. Brilyn and I are voting for twin girls.

Trip to the Mall

Cole's favorite mall play area. Let's face it we both love the mall.

Happy Valentines

Better late than never right? Hey I had them in pink and red and I even took a picture. Pretty good I thought. Happy Belated Valentines! What did you do? Cole went to nana and papa's and aaron and I went out for dinner with Brilyn sleeping. Aaron gave me a card and told me I was a good mom. Isn't that nice to hear?

The weirdest quiz I have ever taken!

53%

So my sister-in-law and my brother scored really high on this test. I thought when I saw it oh yeah, I am creative. Apparently not in this way:)

Is he ORGANIZED

I was feeding Cole lunch last week and gave him some tomatoes and carrots while I was making the rest. I turned around and this is what I saw. He was counting and lining them up. I am SO hoping this means that he has my sense of organization and not his fathers. No offense Aaron:)

Before hospital

I took these pictures last week before we went to the hospital. Brilyn was sick but Cole was getting better already. He loves to be right there for every diaper change, bath, etc. He tries to help as much as he can which usually involves going and getting things for me:) When we got to the hospital they weighed Brilyn and she weight 9 lbs 2 ozs. so she was gaining weight really well. She was 6 lb. 12 oz at birth so that was quick. She is a really good eater unless she has RSV:) Look at that belly!

RSV SUCKS!!

Well we just got home from the hospital today around noon. Thank God! I have learned that I hate the hospital. We all had colds last week first Cole, me, aaron, and then Brilyn and even Nanna and Pappa. And poor Brilyn started having trouble breathing on Saturday and therefore problems nursing too. So we took her in the the after hours clinic on saturday evening at 6 and I thought they would just say she had a cold, but I was obviously in denial. Her oxygen level was at 70 it's supposed to be 93-100 so they gave her a breathing treatment and that really didn't help. They then put her on oxygen and said they were calling the ambulance for us to go to the ER. What!! I have been so fortunate in my life never to have been in an ambulance or the hospital other than giving birth and neither has Aaron or Cole. So this was all kinda surreal. I'd much rather watch ER than experience it first hand. We got to the ER about 8 and they gave her a different breathing treatment which did seem to help. She remained on oxygen until monday afternoon. She also had a fever of 101.4 when we got there and continued to have a fever until Monday morning. The other "treatment" is lots of suction of the nose. You can do it with a bulb syringe or they have a tube that sucks pretty hard and works better so Aaron and I got lots of practice with this. They said it's the best thing you can do for RSV so we did it a LOT. But she recovered pretty quickly considering some babies can be there a week or two. This virus is so common. One nurse told me they have about 5 babies a day check in with RSV during Nov-Mar cold/flu season. So hopefully none of you with kids have to experience this. Once children are a year old their bodies can fight it off on their own. Thanks for all your prayers. It is SO NICE to be home! I caught up on some sleep this afternoon and so did Brilyn so we are doing better.
